Ansgar Halbfas developing 3D-printed 300×-microscopes attachable to smartphones with a group of students
This class developed by Ansgar Halbfas is using smartphones to 3D model STL data for printing the neccessary parts for a microscope atachable to said phone to allow examinations up to 300 X. Ansgar expresses his gratitude to ENERGY.GOV for providing the idea and inspiration for this workshop. All students were able to design a working microscope attachable to their smartphone or ipad or similar device.
